Railay Beach or Railay Bay is a small peninsula located between Krabi Town and Ao Nang Beach. It is not accessible by road due to the high limestone cliffs cutting off the mainland access, but can easily be reached by longtail boat in 15 minutes. Railay Beach consists of 4 beaches,Tonsai Beach, Railay West, Railay East and Phranang Cave (Princess Cave) which can walks across all side. Railay Beach is also a popular place for rock climbing which attract rock climbers from all over the world every year. The levels of difficulty of the various routes varies, so even the unexperienced climbers can experiment. Equipment, instruction and guides are available at most lodgings. |

West Railay provides visitors with a sandy beach surrounded by high majestic limestone cliffs on both sides providing a relaxed embience for beach goers. Pranang Beach (cave) is at the south of Railay, only accessible by boat or walk across from East Railay. It is a beautiful long beach with white sands and crystalline waters, its overhanging crop of limestone provide a great shade at certain time of the day and is very popular for swimming and relaxing. From Pranang Cave there is a way to the top which offers a spectacular view of the surrounding areas. |

Ton Sai Beach is the next beach where one can walk from West Railay .Tonsai Beach is very popular for backpackers and climbers but the beach here is unsuitable for swimming and becomes quite rocky at low tide.There are many bungalows on this beach such as Tonsai Bay Resort, Mountain View Resort , Dream Valley Resort. |
