   Khao Phanom Benja National Park

   
Topography

The site is comprised of with Khao Phanom Bencha at 1,397 meter in height above mean sea level, providing watershed area for the surrounding areas of Krabi Province and then flows to Andaman sea. Phanom Bencha mountain range is layed from north to south.

Climate
 
The weather is warm and humid throughout the year. There are two seasons, Hot season between January to April and Rainy season between May to December, maximum rainfall is in June to October.

Flora and Fauna
As a Moist evergreen forest, fauna in the park consisting of Hopea odorata, Dipterocarpus alatus, lagerstronemia cupida, Malacca teak, Michelia champaca, Parkia speciosa, Baccarea sapida. Ground fauna found are palms, genus Calamus or Daemonothops, greenia wightiana and bamboos. There are a number of animals live in the park which generally can be found are serows, wild pigs, panthers, clouded leopards, black bears, mouse deers, langurs, gibbons, Stump-tailed monkeys, Asiatic wild dog, squirrel, iorises, white-rumped shama, hornbills, pheasants, red jungle fowls.

Tourist Attractions
   
  • Phanom Bencha Mountain
    It is 1,397 meters in height above average sea level which had thick forest on its highest peaks. At the top, you can view the beautiful landscape of Krabi town. The trail up to the view point composing with Evergreen forest covered with thick trees, if you would like to trek to the view point, contact directly with park official.
    Activities : ScenicView and Trekking.
  • Huai To Waterfall
    The site is situated at 350 m from the headquarters. Its originated from Khao Phanombenja that providing a clearpool with 11 levels and 70-80m height
    Activities : Waterfall Traveling and Nature trail study.
  • Khao Phueng Cave
    The site is situated at 2 km from the headquarters. There are significant stalactites and stalagmites in various formation.
    Activities : Nature trail study and Cave/Geological Touring.
  • Huai Sakhe
    The site is located at 300 m from the headquarters, closed to Huay To waterfall nd with 3 levels
    Activities : Nature trail study and Waterfall Traveling.
